A visit to Paris Haute Couture
At the Hotel de Ville in Paris, I paid a visit to dozens of dresses, necklaces, outfits made of silk, organza, rarest and finest fabrics and yarns which all tell a story of french haute couture for the last century.
More than a 100 dresses danced in front of my admiring child like eyes, gazing at the beautiful pastels and amazing embroidery that constitute these SUPERB gowns.
French Haute Couture began mid 19th Century here in Paris and since, a myriad of gifted “couturiers” have transformed the frivolous art of dressing up into a veritable stand alone and iconic art form.
Here are some pics from my tour, read more here on the actual exhibition which is on until the 6th July, everyday except Sundays and Bank holidays from 10am to 7pm.
