Finnish sweetness: Kia Taegen

I frequently go to London, so when I do I go back to where I was born: the East End.
On Brick Lane, famous haunt of everyone needing a curry and now to go to a trendy art gallery, I go to The Brick Lane gallery. Exhibitions are super frequent and varied enought for everyone’s tastes thought they usually seem to come up with pop arty influenced works.
The author of the beautiful painting above is young Finnish painter Kia Taegen. This is from a series called “Voyager” from her Oil Paintings series. It reminds me of Gerhardt Richter. She is produces various other types of work, one of which is industrial design which I particularly like.
