The eternally evolving street art genius of JONONE

Jonone
Jon One

Jon Perello, aka Jonone, is originally from Harlem.

He now lives with his family in Paris and has been doing so for the last 10 years! We recently went to see another of his exhibitions here and I loved the way he evolves. Never the same, always moving on to different types of art and materials.

So.

At the beginning of his career in street art, Jon started off his calligraphic art. He has created massive canvases with words written all over which appear chaotic to the eye but once you get close, words pop up regularly as if he is trying to pass on a secret tribal code to us.

He also paints beautiful oils on canvas, with wild lines and curves, as relaxing as they can be confusing to the eye. Of course he also goes back to his roots with spray cans too and comes out with some super urban frescos!

At that recent exhibition, I saw some beautifully coloured plexiglass sculptures from Jon. I LOVE plexi, it reminds me of the 70s. His lines are clean and you can really still see his own style although we are looking at a totally different type of art.

All this work is still available, old and new. Please, if you need more, just ask me via the contact section or my FB or Twitter pages. There will be more to come on Jon and street art in a few weeks.

In the mean time, I leave you with my little but oh so wonderful collection of Jon’s work xxxx
