Paul Smith. rue de Grenelle. A note to my icon.
My adoration for Paul Smith and his work continues. His new boutique rue de Grenelle is absolutely amazing. It’s a step away from the vintage jumble store inspired retro boutiques that he has in England and all over the world, this is a luxury Paul that I visited. A Paul that has lent his whole image and concept to the cut above, that little bit of gold and pearl feel that you have when you step into a luxury store, whether it be on Bond Street, Maddison, Rodeo or avenue Montaigne.
I really appreciated this little change, because the shop and staff still have the same exact feel and approach that say:
We are edgy but we ain’t snooty.
I loved the womenswear collections (as always), loved the shoes (as always), the menswear (as always and I am SO into wearing my men’s Churches inspired Derbys this winter!, the accessories and the whole british retro rock vibe that Sir Smith and his brand give off.
Paul, a small note do you:
We want to shop, use and consume your beautiful items but we also want to stay a while, to bathe in your preppy rock universe.
Actually, I am going to write you, Sir Smith, right now (or at least, to your HQ).
Yours, inspired and very in awe of your endless talent,
So, dearest reader, if you walk into a Paul Smith store one day and they offer you a cuppa, you know who to write to and thank while sipping your bergamot infused Earl Grey in a perfect Paul Smith china cup xoxoxoxo
