Seaside shopping in Biarritz
I arrived in the South for a long 14th July weekend this morning and went straight for lunch in Biarritz at the Cafe de Paris on the ocean front. The steak tartare is so fresh and really delicious and the view from the terrace is breathtaking.
Apart from my love of raw meat and ocean views I had also planned to go to my two favourite boutiques in this Victorian town.
The first is Lilly of the Valley where Valerie, the owner, stocks some of my favourite brands: Antik Batik (see dress I am wearing in the picture below), Isabelle Marant and Les Petites. There is only a small variety of garments which makes you feel like you are the only one trying them on! It’s like walking into a turn of the century (last century I mean) seaside shop and I love that vibe.
The other is Oliphant (what a great name) that sells carefully handmade silver jewellery by small creators. These two boutiques are right next door to one another, so how could I not go to both!
Next on the agenda was a home made delicious lemonade and a trip to the beach. Lucky girl that I am xxxxx
