Whitewash house near the Buttes Chaumont parc
The Buttes Chaumont, a really beautiful parc in the 19th arrondissement in Paris. In fact, this is the area in Paris that I lived in when I moved to the City of Lights. It is a very versatile area, where super bohemian chic houses and it’s arty inhabitants mix with the locals who have been there forever who both in turn mix with the more popular side of the 19th (near Jaures and Hautpoul). I adore this quartier, it is still up and coming and that’s the unfinished feeling that I like to live in.
We shot this house a while back. It is absolutely breathtaking. An island of peace within the 19th. It is a massive 220m2 which is really large for here, located on rue Compans.
Don’t you love the use of transparent glass panels to seperate the living space? And my personal favourite, the use of white paint over all the walls and also over the floors. Plus isn’t wood panneling on the walls a great idea when painted pale? Ahhh… Paris. Sigh…
Hope these inspire you to redecorate some of your home. Or come to Paris to say hello!
