A day touring Basque Country

We spent today in Saint Jean de Luz, about 40km from our ocean house, where I hang out most weekends during the summer period.

The views from the cliffs of the bay of Saint Jean are breathtaking, as you can see. The weather was windy and you could feel the sea air penetrate and revigorate from inside out. The architecture is also beautiful, basque style coloured houses and paved streets decorate the stroll around town.

Saint Jean de Luz is about 20 mn from the Spanish border and is part of the Basque Country, a very versatile region of South Western France. You can be on the beach and looking straight at the Pyrenees mountains. Wherever you look, the view is fantastic and wild.
