Bon appétit et MERCI
Today, I decided to have lunch at: Cafe Cinema Merci.
A small but hype hangout near my place. As the last name indicates, this cafe/brasserie is attached to the iconic conceptual design store Merci, where clothes, beautiful fragrances, home-wear and accessories are all available in a big (and I mean big) loft style store in an interior courtyard.
The Cafe Cinema Merci is an often packed, retro brasserie, that can look a little bland until you step inside and take a well earned post shopping seat. There you will find simple yet tasty and original dishes, all healthy in their own way.
Try the home made ice tea made from Rooibos and flavored with fresh orange slices or the home made lemonade. The salads are fresh and generous. One of the many deserts: the pistachio cake is moist and full of rich texture and the on the spot made fruit juices, that are tangy and revitalizing (my personal fav: carrot, apple and lots of ginger). Nice place, nice people, gorgeous philanthropic store next door.
