Chocolate lunch rue du Faubourg St Honoré

chocolate tart
Today I met good friend Stan, who has his offices on Place Vendome and he took me to talk business at the best place for chocolate of all kinds I think I have ever been to. Ever. And honestly, I know my chocolate.
Jean-Paul Hevin is the creator of fine chocolates and, Stanislas my friend says: “the Best Macaroons in the World”. He knows, he has tasted, many.
The place is great as downstairs is a pretty patisserie, super refined and designer decorated, upstairs is the restaurant where I had the avocado and grapefruit salad and then chocolate tart. It was divine.
I brought home some Macaroons (for research purposes only, obviously). Yes, I can confirm, they are gorgeous.
Hevin is also well known in Japan and has 13 restaurants there and only 3 here in Paris.
Make sure you book for lunch as it gets full quickly and try out all the quirky chocolate based recipees (duck chocolate mmmm).
