Paris Interior Coup de Coeur of the week Part 2
Montmartre, place of all dreams and hopes of bohemian Paris. The artists, the cafés, the paved streets and musicians livening up your anything-but-dull stroll.
This is one of the first places I used to come to when I first got to Paris, where I used to mostly come to at night, to small restaurants and little cafes. I love it here so I loved visiting this flat. It’s bright but sober, complex but stark, full of the little contradictions that Paris is now so full of.
This interior is small, 45m2 and really warm, like the small artist’s studio that you would imagine. The flat is on rue Joseph de Maistre. Part of the Montmartre area of the 18th arrondissement.
Hope you like it as much as I do! I got to walk around this part of Paris so filled with history and so ambivalent, with the presence of Pigalle round the corner (with it’s strip shows and Moulin Rouge). Beautiful area to have a coffee and stay, for a few days, to dream of a past life we might have had as artist or poet!
