A short essay on photography and mental print

France Hossegor Photography Lake FrancePine Forest France I still cannot stop taking mini snapshots of everything I see in my head. Michel Legrand, Jacques Demy & some tearful Umbrellas…

Les Parapluies de Cherbourg Film I have to share this scene with you purely because I am a big BIG fan of the composer Michel Legrand (Thomas Crown's soundtrack is pure genius, one amongst many many beautiful scores Legrand wrote for French cinema) and the director Jacques Demy who's major masterpiece (that's my opinion) Les Parapluies de Cherbourg just moves me endlessly. It's retro, it's technicolor and the music and voices are hypnotic. This is my favourite song from the film, if you shed a tear or not, it doesn't matter, the melody and the intensity of this scene is sure to provoke myriads of sparkles in your heart.
