SSSSssshhhh. Close your eyes. Listen. To her and to what it all means to you. It means many different things for me. It hypnotises me. Takes me away to who I am. Enjoy this beautiful song by Florence and The Machine, I am listening to Ceremonials constantly. Energising, uplifting. The tunes goes slightly too far into the soul for comfort but then it's no fun when you don't challenge yourself is it?!    

Michel Legrand, Jacques Demy & some tearful Umbrellas…

I have to share this scene with you purely because I am a big BIG fan of the composer Michel Legrand (Thomas Crown's soundtrack is pure genius, one amongst many many beautiful scores Legrand wrote for French cinema) and the director Jacques Demy who's major masterpiece (that's my opinion) Les Parapluies de Cherbourg just moves me endlessly. It's retro, it's technicolor and the music and voices are hypnotic. This is my favourite song from the film, if you shed a tear or not, it doesn't matter, the melody and the intensity of this scene is sure to provoke myriads of sparkles in your heart.

I saw these guys at the Olympia in Paris three years ago and I was hypnotised by their presence and the sheer talent of each group member and that little slight Irish accent Gary Lightbody possesses.
