So, how do you, can you, eat them?

In a smoothie. This morning I mixed a banana, five fresh figs and a peach with some soya milk. Wow, great result.

Roasted figs with brie: Place a few slices figs into an oven safe dish. Top with thin slices of brie/mozzarella cheese. Place under the grill for 10 mn until the cheese has melted. Great served with a little toasted baguette.

Fig, Parmesan and Prosciutto salad: mix together with pine nuts, olive oil, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and a little sea salt. Great served with small toasts!

Fig, thyme, Gorgonzola and honey toasts: yes this is really easy too. Toast some rustic wholemeal bread, once out, spread some creamy Gorgonzola cheese on top, add some roughly sliced figs and some fresh or dried thyme and drizzle with a little honey (mountain or Paris honey is the best).

 

And my favorite: Just eat them fresh. I cut them into slices, put them on a plate, dip them in some Greek low fat yoghurt and I am in heaven. MMMMmmm.
